UPR/MSC CURRENT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES Selected Campus Projects Relevant to Women's Health Drug Information Center (CIM) In 1973, the School of Pharmacy established the Drug Information Center. This is the only existing drug information service available to all health care professionals in Puerto Rico, and one of the best of its kind in Latin America. The Center provides assistance in the selection and proper use of drugs by providing powerful information resources fully computerized and international in scope, reference books, and medical and pharmaceutical journals. The Drug Information Center provides telephone consultations and written reports about dosage, adverse reactions, poison treatment, foreign medications, poisonous plants, bioequivalents, and drug utilization criteria. Consultations are offered by pharmacists with experience in the search of biomedical information.
